Regeneration, Economic and Social Development Services

Led by Rachael McCormack, Lanarca’s regeneration, economic and social development commissions benefit from Rachael’s engagement and first-hand experience she brings gained from working with National Government, Government agencies, Local Government, charities and trusts and major national companies over the last two decades.

We understand the imperative of approaching our regeneration, economic and social development commissions in an integrated way, starting often with a rapid review of your organisational environment and your regional, sub regional or local economic context.

Our portfolio in this area includes commissions such as policy review and redevelopment, corporate business planning, sub regional regeneration zone planning, establishing and leading third sector organisations, leading major city centre redevelopment, strategic masterplanning for urban extensions, business planning for regeneration and growth and development management out-sourcing – with support to mobilise new services.

With particular expertise in growing rural economies and social economies, together with her knowledge of business growth and development, Rachael and the Lanarca team provide robust advice and guidance underpinned by extensive first-hand experience.

In addition, Rachael has led a range of major social enterprise initiatives including catalysing and leading a ground breaking national research partnership on social enterprise, and leading the growth of a portfolio of over 300 account managed social and community enterprises. She is a Strategic Advisor to the Social Enterprise World Forum and has advised on national policy and legislation development on community empowerment, growing the social economy and social procurement. See our portfolio page for examples of Lanarca projects.
